چکیده

Abstract. Due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, human activities and industrial productions were strictly restricted during January–March 2020 in China. Despite fact that anthropogenic aerosol emissions largely decreased, haze events still occurred. Characterization of transport pathways attribution sources from specific regions are beneficial air quality pandemic control strategies. This study establishes source–receptor relationships various covering all China COVID-19 outbreak based on Community Atmosphere Model version 5 with Explicit Aerosol Source Tagging (CAM5-EAST). Our analysis shows PM2.5 burden over North Plain between 30 January 19 February is mostly contributed by local (40 %–66 %). For other China, nonlocal sources. During most polluted days outbreak, within eastern 66 % 87 increase surface concentrations, respectively. associated anomalous mid-tropospheric high pressure at location climatological East Asia trough consequently weakened winds lower troposphere, leading accumulation. The outside especially those South Southeast Asia, contribute 50 concentration southwestern through transboundary day. As reduction near future desirable, aerosols long-range unfavorable meteorological conditions increasingly important regional need be taken into account clean-air plans.
